Hi, I met my
hubby through and online advert. I know there are many horror stories, but I
just wanted to let people know that it is possible to meet decent people. My
hint is to take your time to get to know the person, exchange emails, letters,
phone calls before you meet. When you do decide to meet face to face, go to a
public place, and take along a friend. Don't rush into anything. Think about
this, in war time, women sent letters of home to random soldiers. They exchanged
letters, and some fell in love, and on their return home, dated and married.
Meeting via email/mail is not such a new thing. Just use common sense and be

Hi, After my divorce, I swore off men and marriage, but I am a romantic at heart, so soon longed for companionship, and love. Having children, the usual dating venues were not an option. After a lot of consideration, I answered a personal ad in the local paper. The first, and only person I contacted is now my lifelong partner. We have been together just under 20 years and have been happily married for 17 years. I have learnt you have to have an open mind to new ideas, and most importantly, don't let one bad experience ruin the rest of your life.
