I have had a few dates that went square shaped, but thought I
would share this one with you. I was 22 at the time, and quite confident in
myself. My friends' cousin was visiting from interstate, so agreed to go out
with my friend and her partner, and her cousin and I would make up the foursome.
I was happy with this, as I am not much of a blind date kind of person, but
figured the four of us going out would make it fun and interesting.
I was impressed when I first saw her cousin. Tall, good
looking and quite charming. The conversation was going well, and I was really
enjoying myself. We were discussing dessert options, and I ordered something
really scrumptious, all cream and chocolate sauce. I visited the ladies while
the dessert was brought out. I return to the table, take my seat, spread out my
serviette like a delicate lady, reach for my dessert, all is going well. I take
a big mouth full of cream , ice cream and chocolate sauce, and at the precise
moment, my date says something really funny, and to my absolute horror, I begin
to laugh, but I haven't swallowed my mouthful of dessert yet. Not to worry, I
didn't choke, instead I sprayed the whole lot all over my date. I mean the whole
lot, the whole mouthful. It sprayed everywhere. All over his face, hair, shirt.
OMG, I was mortified. I did not know what to do, what to say, where to run to!
Everyone else saw the funny side, but I was completely embarrassed.
